I woke up this morning with an email from our friends at Demeter U.S.A. It was a three-word email: “Here you go!”
After these three words there was a link to a blog post from Whole Story, the official Whole Foods Market® Blog. The title was 9 Ways to Eat Biodynamic All Week Long, and yes, Yellow Barn Biodynamic Pasta Sauces are mentioned in the article.
But here’s what I really liked about it. It basically says cooking with biodynamic foods is easy. I quote, “Whole Foods Market® stores offer a bevy of biodynamic products—such as Yellow Barn Biodynamic Pasta Sauces and Delallo Biodynamic Whole Wheat Spaghetti—that can help you throw together a meal in minutes.”
I love that!
Too often when I mention biodynamics, people associate it with something complicated. Its holistic approach to agriculture does involve more than the requirements for organic certification. It is regenerative agriculture, which means emphasis has to be placed on enriching the soil.
But that does not make it harder to throw together a meal in minutes. It’s no harder to cook with biodynamic food than it is to cook with organic or conventionally-grown foods.
What is different is the taste. That is one of the payoffs for farming biodynamically. So I ask you, what’s it worth to you to cook a meal and have ingredients that you can actually taste versus those with less flavor? The farmers do the extra work so you don’t have to when making a great tasting meal.
So thank you Demeter and Whole Story for making my day, and making life easier for those looking for healthy, great tasting food that you can throw together in minutes.
